Vanilla Fruit Salad

Refresh! Nothing better than a bowl of fruits on a sunny day. This vanilla bean salad makes a great healthy dessert or snack. There are vitamins in every bite. The grapefruit mainly consists of vitamin C and vitamin A. Vitamin C is good for skin elasticity as well as strengthening blood vessels while vitamin A benefits the eyes, teeth and skin. Eating pineapple will provide your body with more vitamin C. It also contains 2% of vitamin A, calcium and iron.  Although there is a small amount of vanilla extract, it has big benefits! Vanilla extract is not only for baking. It works perfectly in this salad. Its benefits include that its an antioxidant to protect your body and has anti-innflamation abilities. 


  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 pineapple
  • 1/2 pound strawberries
  • 1/2 pound blueberries
  • Juice from 1 orange
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla


  1. Peel and chop 1 grapefruit and 1 pineapple.
  2. Wash and chop 1/2 pound of fresh strawberries. 
  3. Add in washed 1/2 pound blueberries. 
  4. Combine cut fruits with juice from 1 orange (about 1/2 cup) and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
