My dentist inspired this mango and crab salad. I know that not everyone enjoys visiting their dentist, but I always look forward to visiting mine. The office is a friendly place, and my dentist knows how distract me while he works on my teeth.
In a recent visit, my dentist described a salad his wife makes. Because I didn’t know all the ingredients she uses, I came home and experimented with recipes using crab and mango until I came up with the recipe for this addicting salad. It’s easy to prepare, and you’ll love the sweetness of the mango and the delicious high protein and low-calorie crab.
One piece of advice: don’t use imitation crab. It doesn’t contain any real crab, and doesn’t taste nearly as good!
Mango and Crab Salad Recipe
- 1 mango, peeled and chopped
- 1 lb crab meat, chopped
- 1/4 red onion, chopped
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- a small pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup broccoli sprouts
- Mix all together.
- Garnish with broccoli sprouts.
